Granny Apple meets here with preschoolers at 10:00 am on Wednesdays during the school year. She reads story books, plays the guitar, teaches songs, and involves the children in inter-active story-telling. Come on in and join the fun! If school is closed for vacation or weather closings, there is no Granny Apple. Check the library calendar for up-to-date information, or give the library a call at 875-2550. Story Times are conducted at Whimsy Corner, in the Margaret E. Kayser Room (main floor, children's wing) during the school year, whenever school is in session. If the Alton schools are closed for holidays, vacations or inclement weather, the Story Time normally held on that day will also be canceled.
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, April 13th, and make your reservation now. Attendance is limited to ten and reservations are required. Face masks are required and social distancing must be observed.
