Celebrate National Friends of the Libraries Week from October 21-27th.

Please pick up a brochure at the library's front desk to learn more aboutour organization.Consider joining the Friends of the Gilman Library.  We meet on a quarterly basis.  Our next meeting is scheduled for   November 1st at 7 pm in the Agnes Thompson room (downstairs).Light refreshments will be served. Join or renew your annual membership by November 1st for a free entryto win the lovely Autumn Bounty basket that is on display at the libraryand will be raffled at the meeting.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Gilman Library is to enrich the quality of life through nurturing the joy of reading and lifelong learning by addressing the informational, educational and recreational needs of the community.



We support The Freedom to Read Statement, adopted June 25, 1953, by the ALA Council and the AAP Freedom to Read  Committee; amended January 28, 1972; January 16, 1991; July 12, 2000;  June 30, 2004.
