Please think of us when searching for a venue for your group. Please note that the meeting room is for nonprofit activity.
Many community groups and organizations book their meetings in our Agnes Thompson Meeting room on the lower level. You are welcome to host your meeting here. All meetings are to be not-for-profit and open to the public. Fees and admission must not be charged. You may collect reimbursement from attendees for supplies used. If a tuition for classes is charged - this must be collected off-site. We do allow authors to sell their books at our library-sponsored meetings.
The Agnes Thompson room is authorized to allow 130 people by fire-code standards. This would include standing room. You might comfortably seat 60 , but far less if you set up any tables. We have 40 cushioned chairs and 7 vinyl chairs, plus 4 wooden chairs in the foyer. There are three 8-ft folding tables available. If you wish to reserve, you will need to call with your group name and contact information. You will need to come into the library during open hours to sign out a key for after-hours usage.
Please review the guidelines [click button a (MEETING ROOM POLICY) at bottom right] and then call us with your requested times and telephone number.
