DONATE TO THE GILMAN LIBRARY

The Alton Town Budget funds only part of Gilman Library’s operating expenses.  We gratefully accept support from generous individuals like you to help keep our variety of public program and our circulating collection of print and downloadable books, magazines, audios, DVDs and CDs, as well as our public access computers, free Wi-Fi, and online subscription resources, all FREE for Alton residents. New books and magazine subscriptions are also welcome donations. Your gifts to the Gilman Library serve the whole community. Donations are tax deductible.       

When you donate new books or magazine subscriptions, a book plate will be affixed to the circulating items “Given in Memory of " your loved one. 

You may also choose to celebrate someone special by recognizing a birthday or milestone event with a circulating item, such as a new book, DVD, CD, or game.  Your gift will bear a "Given in honor of" bookplate.
