The NH Downloadable Consortium is a collaboration between NH State Library and the state’s public libraries to provide digital audiobooks, magazines, and eBooks to NH library patrons.
New Hampshire Downloadable Books was formed in 2006 as a downloadable audiobook service with 20 public library members. Over the years, the service has grown to include 207 New Hampshire public libraries and has expanded to offer eBooks and digital magazines, as well as the digital audiobooks.

Libby is built by OverDrive, who also developed the classic OverDrive app. Both apps let you borrow the same free digital content from your library. However, Libby was designed to make finding, borrowing, and enjoying free ebooks and audiobooks easier than ever.
